it's another beautiful day here in the cody household.
it's 67 degrees outside. the sun is shining, the sky is beautiful blue; matt and i just ate a fantastic, home-cooked lunch and now we have time to just hang out and enjoy each other's company.
for some reason i've slept very hard the past few nights, so this morning when it was raining when the alarm went off, it was difficult to get out of bed. we ended up choosing to skip class this morning and have breakfast at home. i made two eggs, two sausage patties, and two biscuits for matt, and some toaster poodles for myself... yum.
this tender hearted elderly gentleman at our church came up to matt after the altar service and thanked him for his testimony through his sincerity in worship.... i think it really took matt by surprise, but it was really sweet.
because it's such a beautiful day, we drove down to the lake and had a good time looking at all of the houses for sale over there. they are so nice and probably out of our price range, but it doesn't cost anything to look at them, right?
so on our way home, we stopped because 6 wild turkeys were crossing the road. we just kind of sat there, counting them and just taking it in... and then, we looked to the right, and there were at least 50 more turkeys walking through the yard! what in the world? that was just... wild. haha.
last night we went shopping for some new clothes for matt's new job. i baked cookies when we got home, and i have to say - these are the best cookies i have ever made. i'm actually very surprised at how fantastic they taste - shocked, really.
so today is a big race day, i think - i don't know what people get out of watching guys drive endlessly in circles for hours on end....
um...
i guess this is all for now.
